Where have I been????

More than a month has passed since I wrote on this space. Some of you might be wondering what is going on, some of you might not have noticed anything missing. For those who did wonder what happened to the woman who wrote this blog, I am very much here.

A small project that started with replacing our family room carpet with hard wood turned into a huge project of remodeling the whole main floor.  If shopping for the perfect (for my eyes and wallet) was a pain, deciding on whom to hire to do the actual job was more painful. Challenges of dealing with the contractor, their inconsistent work, trying to get them to work to your expectations is a total different story. By the end of the project, I learned more about fixing than I ever did in few years and I wouldn't be honest if I told you it was fun. It was more pain than fun. But when I look around and see that the imaginary sketch in my mind has come true, I feel happy.

Now that everything has kind of settled down, (not really though. I still have to take care of a lot of things) I will resume blogging and all I need is a little motivation. Once I get it, you will see me updating this blog often.

Till then, enjoy the start of warm weather.

  4. Glad to hear that your renovation is almost completed. I can imagine how painful it must have been -- especially with the inconsistent contractors. We went through that 3 years ago when we renovated our bathrooms -- extremely painful.
Looking forward to have you back in the blogging world.
