Announcing Kitchen Essentials and tips event

I have been thinking about these for some time now. Yes, I agree that this is a food blog. There are recipes here. But, I wanted this to be more than just a recipe collection. I wanted it to be a resource for someone looking for some answers or an inspiration.
So, I have put up the page 'Basics and Tips', which has all the tips in one place that I have written.

You might all be wondering what is she talking about. I am inviting all you bloggers and readers to share a tip, a technique or even some information that might help many others.

All you have to do is post a tip, a technique or information that is useful in the kitchen and link to my - Basics and Tips page - http://versatilekitchen.blogspot.com/p/basics.html.
Send me an email at versatilekitchen@gmail.com with the blog name, what the title of the post is and the link. No need for the pictures since many of the tips do not have any. I will add your link to the main basics and Tips page. Think that this is more like a collection of tips in one place. It will be kept on updating as and when I get an entry.

You saw something in the store that can cut down time while making something? it qualifies too. You have a tip about mixing something and using it later? that works too. So, get creative and send me the links. If you have something that qualifies in your archive, add the link and send it. But please limit these to vegetarian ingredients or things that help vegetarians. I don't want to post the tip about how to clean a fish or anything like that.
