Happy Thanksgiving

11 years back when I came to this country with my luggage sets landing in the airport of Atlanta, GA, no one ever knew that I will be  making a home for myself in this country. I do not live in Atlanta and have never lived there. But, I still remember that air port and reading all the signs in the air port to make sure I was headed the right way (I was traveling alone).

I would like to ask all of you a question - "What are you thankful for in your life?" After all, it is thanksgiving today. Leave a comment stating what/who would you like to give thanks to this year. One random entry will be picked next week 12/3/2010 (do it before 12/3/2010) to get a 75 dollar gift certificate from CSN stores (Can be used only by residents of U.S and canada). There are a few restrictions to use it though. I will explain that to the winner.

As far as I am concerned, I am thankful for the life, for everything in it and everything that is missing. Because, for some good reason, I believe in God giving you what you deserve and not what you wish for.

What are you waiting for? Go ahead and write what you would like to give thanks to this year.

Winner is Deb. I have sent you an email and please reply to it soon. Thanks everyone for taking time to leave a comment.

Enjoy the holidays!! Pin It

  5. I am thankful for my family and god for helping us through all the crisis we had this year. Even when I don't want to go into details, we had many of them. Sickness, kid's divorce and what not.

  6. Our Life together was a roller coaster all the way as we were living like nomads across countries. This year is very special to me in many ways. We are glad we have finally settled down in one place. We wish to thank God as always for all his blessings on our family and friends. As is said in Sanskrit..'Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavanthu'(May all the people live happily!)

  7. Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for my little miracle. When we had completely given up hope of having a baby after several failed IVFs, we now have a little baby of ours - a little miracle.

  10. Counting my blessings, a rock solid family and their large hearted-ness, lovable kids and good health are things I am really thankful for. The rest of the things are here today, gone tomorrow.

  15. Hey champa,
congrats for ur new home.its such a great feeling to b in ur own home..i wont forget the day i landed here as it was raining so so badly in india tht day...it took me 12hrs to drive from my city to mumbai which usually takes 3-4hrs..saw 2-3 accidents and cars fail...stil managed to catch the flight on time which was then delayed...my hubby was waiting for me eagerly here and my mom was tensed and blast crying as i was traveling alone for the first time...just bcos gods grace and my parents blessings tht i m here...

I just keep in mind this quote(What if you gave someone a gift, and they neglected to thank you for it - would you be likely to give them another? Life is the same way. In order to attract more of the blessings that life has to offer, you must truly appreciate what you already have)and so i thank each and every day thro my prayers to god for all tht he has given me...and on top of all, my parents my MOM...who taught me -Experience the art of GIVING and By his(god) hands we all r fed so-If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is 'thank you', it will be enough..
Thank u god For making my life fruitful with loving family, frnds and beloved hubby and precious gift(my son)
