Black & White Wednesday - Sprouted Horse gram

This picture is my entry to Susan's Black & White Wednesday - Culinary photos.
For those who do not know about this wonderful legume, you can read about it here.
Sprouting any legume is not hard. All you have to do is soak the beans in enough water overnight or in some cases for about 12 hours. Once the beans are totally hydrated, drain the water and cover the beans with a loose lid. They will start sprouting within 12 hours. Some beans might take 24 hours. They need warm weather to sprout and I have had excellent results keep them in the oven with light turned on in winter.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Pin It
