Bake - Off (4/30/2010)

I usually don't write anything when I give you all a roundup except the link to the recipes and their pictures. I wanted to thank you all for supporting this. Many people might wonder why this? It is just to showcase all baking recipes in one place. Another reason being many people are intimidated by the word 'baking'. Please don't be. It is not rocket science. And many people consider baking to be just for desserts. Look at all the cool collection I received this week. 'Cool Lassie' of 'Pan Gravy Kadai Curry' has so many entries in the miscellaneous section which are all non-dessert entries. In fact, she dominated the 'Miscellaneous' section this week. Thanks to all those who sent me entries and for those who are hesitant, give it a try. You'll be surprised how easy baking is.
That being said, I have collected couple of copies of 'Cake Mix Doctor' book. I bought them to give as gifts to people who visit us, and I still have some copies left. This is from 2007 edition. I want to give them away to fellow blogger s and readers. It is a surprise how many of you will get them. All you have to do is leave a comment to this post. Please specify to be included in the random pick only if you bake from 'Cake-mix'. There is no point in having the book if you are a 'scratch' baker. I'll ship in united states. I'll pick someone randomly and announce the winner on next week's 'bake-off'.

This round-up is from 4/23/2010 - 4/29/2010
Cakes, Cupcakes:
'Pineapple Tutti frutti cake' from 'Parita's World'
 'Pound Cake' from 'Seven Spice'
'Chocolate Banana Nut Cake' from 'Creative Saga'

Quickbreads, muffins:

If I have left anyone's, please let me know and I apologize in advance. If any link is faulty, let me know that too. Thank you so much for the continuing support and I hope to keep seeing more and more from you and others.

Next Bake-Off roundup will be on 5/7/2010.

  4. Champa, as usual, a lovely round-off. I would love to have the "cake mix" book as you know I am trying to learn baking and for now, I am only using cake mixes as too scared to do it from scratch :)
